CELEBRATING ARAW NG WIKA 2013

As Filipinos, language is important to us. In line with this ICCT Colleges celebrated Araw ng Wika 2013 with the theme: “Wika natin ang daan matuwid” on the 10th day of August at the ICCT Colleges Gymnasium.
The event started with a doxology led by the Sibol Theatrical Guild. Mr. Renato Paringit, VP for Student Affairs gave the opening remarks; Mr. Marvin Mauro, KAMFIL Adviser introduced the respected Filipino Teachers, followed by a speech choir from the first year students.
There were 3 competitions in the event namely: Poster Making Contest, Dance Contest and Booth Exhibit where each booth represented different places in the Philippines: Albay, Benguet, Cebu, Davao and Ilocos Norte. Each group was guided by its Filipino Teachers. (Joeriza Pantoja)

ICCT COLLEGES’ TESTIMONIAL DINNER 2013

The board passers and graduates from the College of Education, Engineering, Business and Accountancy and College of Criminology were recognized during the ICCT Colleges’ Testimonial Dinner 2013 held at the ICCT Main campus on July 13.
The said graduates received incentives for their hard work and bringing pride to the school. Ms. Ana Liza Kho, and Mr. Renato Paringit gave their speeches. Lastly, our Chairman William S. Co also congratulated them. The event ended with a dinner. (Paula Jean Afan)

DIGITALPHOTOJOURNALISM WORKSHOP @ 4

The ICCT Colleges conducted a Digital Photojournalism Workshop last August 7, 2013 at the DCLC-AVR Audio Visual Center, Cainta (Main Campus) spearheaded by Mr. Darwin S. Dulay, Vice President for Special Projects.
The said workshop was open to either amateur or professional photographers studying in ICCT Colleges. Photojournalism is a part of media where images are used to create a story, and those who practice it are called photojournalists.
Through this, attendees were able to get tips on how to take photos with style using different techniques. Mr. Dulay also inculcated the essence of photo blogging in the workshop this year.
Those who participated in the workshop were invited to join the ICCT Colleges’ Digital Photo Journalism Competition 2013. (Pia Joy Nieves)

DRUG ADDICTION PREVENTION SEMINAR 2013

ICCT Colleges together with the Rizal Provincial Government conducted a Drug Addiction Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation Seminar held at the Covered Gymnasium building 3, Cainta Campus on July 25, 2013.
The seminar was highlighted with talks from the guest speakers from the Rizal Anti-Drug Abuse Office (RADAO). Mr. Salvador L. Arabit, RADAO Chief, Mr. Scott B. Baraquel, RADAO Community Affairs Officer, and Mr. Eric J. Baltazar, Psychologist of RADAO, discussed relevant aspects of Drug Abuse that caught the interests of the ICCT students. The event was made possible by the ICCT Colleges’ Student Affairs Office, the Guidance and Career Placement Office, the Academic Affairs Office and the Humanities and Social Sciences Department.
