2nd WSC Career Exploration : A Job Hunting Fair 2013

Organized by ICCT Colleges, seven companies under the WSC Group took part in the 2nd WSC Career Exploration at the Atrium, SM City Masinag last August 24.

Greenhills Washington Residences, DCLC Health Care and Diagnostic Center, Omnibus Bio-Medical Systems Inc., Contronics Computer Technolgy, Tagumpay Realty Corporation, Willam and Company Philippines and ICCT Colleges offered different job opportunities. The said companies are specialized in different fields fitting the interests of applicants.

Effectively, many applicants attended the job fair. College Graduates, under Graduates and even High School Graduates tried their luck. They were interviewed by Ms. Aurora G. Esma, Vice President for Administration. Applicants have undergone examinations and interviews. Advantageously, the results of the said job fair were released within 3-5 days.

Also, applicants received many exciting freebies. Free identification picture, ICCT bags, bottles and pins were given away. The event set-up also caught the eyes of the applicants and the shoppers.

It was filled with grand decorations and the booth attendants looked good in their uniform representing the booth they were attending in. Cosplayers were strategically included as part of the event to catch the attention of the applicants and other shoppers in the venue. More than that, the ICCT’s official publication, Newsbytes, interviewed some applicants about their feedbacks regarding the said job fair. They said that the job fair is a big help for them. ICCT administration also posted updates online through the ICCT’s official fan page during the event. Online application was also offered by sending their resume through e-mail. The job hunting fair was indeed a success and everyone is looking forward for the next job fair in the coming year.

The interviewer, Ms. Aurora G. Esma, left the affair with this quotation, “Applying for a job is like going onto a war. You must be armed and be prepared physically and mentally. It means that in applying for a job, you are selling yourself. Your skills, knowledge and presentable looks are your weapons upon entering the competitive world of careers”. (Joselito Tanghal)
